ERC-721
The Ethereum token standard for non-fungible tokens (NFTs), where each token has a unique identifier.
ERC-721 defines the standard for non-fungible tokens on Ethereum — tokens where each unit is distinct and not interchangeable. Unlike ERC-20 tokens (where one unit equals any other), each ERC-721 token has a unique ID and can represent distinct ownership of digital art, collectibles, in-game items, or real-world assets. CryptoPunks and Bored Apes popularized ERC-721; the standard has since been extended by ERC-1155 for mixed fungible/non-fungible collections.
